The Weekend

Eventful. This is the only way I could describe this past weekend.

I’m tired but in a good way.  John and I headed out of town to Murfreesboro/Nashville for a quick getaway and to see some of John’s friends from Middle Tennessee State University.  The highlight of my weekend was the trip the Arrington Vineyards in Arrington, TN.  Saturday night a group of us headed up to the vineyard and listened to a little jazz while enjoying some of the delicious wines from the vineyard.  We had a wine tasting that I enjoyed so much that John and I ended up purchasing some of their rosé, which was delicious!  This was seriously such a fun time!  Now we’re gearing up for Halloween – if we end up doing anything. In my column this week, you’ll read my confession that Halloween is not really my thing but I pretend to participate like the cool kids.

Where do I even begin on where we frolicked this weekend?  We tried Hattie B’s Hot Chicken in Nashville – the music is so good.  Pinewood Social is another restaurant I’ve been reading tons about and HAD to try while in Nashville and it didn’t disappoint.  Staff was awesome, drinks were great and the food was delicious.

Seriously, the coffee food truck outside of McKay Books was the cutest and the best thing! And it’s cleverly named, The Trailer Perk.  Awesome.

All in all, it was a great weekend!!

Happy Monday!
